Trying to write a memory of someone who has been part of your life from the very beginning is difficult.  There are far too many to mention.  Mum gave me and my brother a very happy childhood.  Mum & dad always supported us with our choices in life, that’s not to say that if it didn’t seem right, mum didn’t express what she thought, she did.  She didn’t think that children should be seen & not heard.  Our views were encouraged and we had many discussions at meal times.  Mum encouraged us to try new experiences.  I remember being taken on trips to the theatre, including variety shows at the London Palladium, and the Royal Tournament at Earls Court.
Mum enjoyed company and meeting new people.  She loved nothing better than a family get together. Her laughter and smile will be one of the many things that I will remember her for and will miss.
